Together with director Tássia Quirino Silva, I had the opportunity to lead a talented team of animators and illustrators on Ties, a documentary that brings to life the childhood memories of four Black women featured in its live-action interviews. Since there was not much footage from their early years, animation became a bridge for visualizing their stories through emotion, rhythm, and visual metaphor.

Our focus was on shaping a visual language that felt sensitive and true to each memory, creating a series of intimate vignettes that celebrate identity and connection. Ties was officially selected for the Women of the Lens Film Festival and the West London Film Festival.
